Celebrate Science Indiana is returning as an in-person event this fall. Mark your calendar now for Celebrate Science Indiana on Saturday October 1, 2022 in the Elements Financial Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Celebrate Science Indiana is Indiana’s premiere science festival which, except for 2021, has been an annual event since 2011.
Celebrate Science Indiana is hosted and organized by the Science Education Foundation of Indiana with financial sponsorship provided by many local and state organizations.
The event is a day designed for students and families to experience interactive science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities. This year we project there will be over 50 activity stations at which attendees will have the opportunity to conduct chemistry experiments, extract DNA from strawberries, learn about predicting the weather, receive basic pointers about constructing computer games, find out about mixing cement, and much much more.
The event opens at 9:30 am and concludes at 5:00 pm. Come spend the day and enjoy the company of fellow STEM enthusiasts.
The event itself is free but there is a $10.00 parking fee imposed by the fairgrounds. A concession stand will be available to purchase food.
While there is no state or local mandate requiring that masks be worn, the event organizers strongly encourage everyone to practice personal safety and wear a mask while indoors, but mask wearing does remain optional.
See you on Saturday October 1 in the Elements Financial Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
