In 2018, Andrew Wu, the International Chemistry Olympiad gold medalist from Carmel IN, enjoyed celebrating the hands-on STEAM activities at the 2018 Celebrate Science Indiana with Alison Campbell, 2017 President of the American Chemical Society (ACS). Andrew proudly wore his International Chemistry Olympiad gold medal while at Celebrate Science Indiana.
This year, 2022, another Carmel teen, Jack Liu, joins Andrew in the thrill of being one of four members of the U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO) Team USA! The 54th International Chemistry Olympiad, hosted virtually by China, was held July 10-18, 2022. All four members of Team USA earned medals (3 silver and 1 gold).
For an opportunity to speak and interact directly with scientists and science students, please join us at the 2022 Celebrate Science Indiana on Saturday, October 1 from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM in the Elements Pavilion on the Indiana State Fairgrounds. We anticipate that there will be well over 35 exhibitors at this year’s event offering a range of interactive STEAM experiences. New this year will be an interactive early learning/development area for young children. Looking forward to seeing you on October 1.
