How NoireSTEMinist Supports Celebrate Science Indiana
NoireSTEMinist has become one of Celebrate Science Indiana’s impactful long‑term partners. Their commitment to equity, representation, and opportunity in STEM has helped shape our festival into a statewide celebration of curiosity, creativity, and community. For several years, they have supported CSI not just as a sponsor, but as a powerful advocate for inclusive STEM education.
A Mission Rooted in Representation and STEM Equity
Founded on the belief that every child deserves to see themselves in STEM, NoireSTEMinist focuses on empowering Black girls and young women. Their programs create welcoming spaces where students can explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with confidence, mentorship, and joy. Through hands‑on workshops, community events, and advocacy, NoireSTEMinist has become a trusted resource for families seeking inclusive STEM experiences.
Inspiring STEM Stories Through Books
A standout part of NoireSTEMinist’s work is the collection of books they write and share with families. These titles celebrate Black girls in STEM through uplifting stories, relatable characters, and imaginative adventures that make science feel exciting and accessible. Their books offer young readers both mirrors—characters who look like them—and windows into futures filled with discovery.

Whether the story features a curious young inventor, a budding coder, or a fearless scientist, NoireSTEMinist’s books help children see STEM as something they can claim. These stories have become a favorite feature at their CSI exhibitor table each year.
A Vibrant Exhibitor Experience at CSI
Visitors to the NoireSTEMinist exhibitor table immediately understand what makes them special. Their space is filled with hands‑on activities, bright smiles, and conversations that spark possibility. They bring STEM to life through creative engineering challenges, science demonstrations, and genuine encouragement for every young learner who stops by.
Their team shows up with purpose. They show up with heart. And they show up with the kind of energy that reminds us why Celebrate Science Indiana exists.
You belong here. Your ideas matter. Your future in STEM is possible.
That message is powerful—and it’s one we are proud to amplify.
Looking Ahead: NoireSTEMinist at Celebrate Science 2026
As we prepare for another year of Celebrate Science Indiana, we are grateful for the continued partnership of NoireSTEMinist. Their work strengthens our festival, enriches our community, and inspires the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators.
Robotics expert and engineering professor at Rose‑Hulman Institute of Technology, Carlotta Berry, PhD, founded NoireSTEMinist and shared her excitement for this year’s event: “I’m excited to bring my robotics and STEM to the streets at Celebrate Science 2026!” She is such a powerful and accomplished mentor for so many in our community. In addition to authoring children’s books that highlight Black girls in STEM, she has written Black romance novels with STEM themes, published an engineering textbook, served as an editor for “Mitigating Bias in Machine Learning”, and earned more than seven major awards — including being named to Forbes 50 Over 50. Her leadership, creativity, and advocacy continue to inspire learners of all ages.
We look forward to celebrating alongside Carlotta and her team at NoireSTEMinist again—and watching the ripple effects of their mission continue to grow across Indiana. We encourage you to visit their website to explore more of their incredible work.
